"Written, set by hand and printed by Earl H. Emmons as a keepsake for Frederic Goudy's seventy-third birthday. ... In this item colophon and typliography are in Kennerley, Goudy's most famous type; the verse is done in Bertham, his hundredth letter, with spots of Camelot, his first. The six point Kennerley on the cover was contributed by Commanday Brothers; Camelot from the American Type Founders ... Done in an edition of two hundred copies as item number thirty-four of the Maveric Press of New York, and distributed on March 8th, 1938"--Colophon. ("Maveric" is an orthographic pun on "Frederic" also used in other tributes to Goudy printed by the Maverick Press.)
