Item Description: | At head of title, in square brackets: 104 Caption title Concerning the prayer of Ebenezer Stevens, Lucretia Stevens, and others to be indemnified against a judgment of the Supreme Court of New York holding Comfort Sands and others liable for damages to Oliver Phelps and Timothy Edwards. Sands et al. had contracted with the Superintendent of Finance to supply rations to the Army in 1782 and 1783, and when the Superintendent of Finance withdrew the contract, Sands was obliged in turn to refuse to accept deliveries of beef from his subcontractors, Phelps and Edwards Edward De Krafft was printer to the House of Representatives for the 15th Congress House document Signed on p. 2: H.R.
