| Item Description: | 25 page pamphlet and map extolling the virtues of west side of New York City. Viele lays out a plan for Riverside Park that was largely followed by the City, and discusses in the accompanying text all the virtues of the upper west side as a place to live. He obviously had some relationship with the developers! Map is folded into teal green cloth covers 15.5x10 with "The West End Plateau Of New York Viele 1879." stamped in gilt.
