Description
Summary:This dance work by Australian choreographer Gideon Obarzanek was inspired by an ancient Greek myth about a water goddess who lured sailors to their deaths. He creates an edgy, abstract world of seduction and devastation, at once sensual and disturbing. The mezmerising and daring piece is physically demanding on the seven dancers of Chunky Move who perform on a floor that gives way to let in a dark pool of water. A short documentary introduction gives an insight into Obarzanek's choreographic process
