Margaret Coxe

Margaret Coxe (1805–1855) was an American writer and educator. Coxe founded the Cincinnati Female Seminary in 1843. Seven years later, John Zachos became a co-owner and principal of the school. In 1851, they became co-owners and principals of the Cooper Female Institute in Dayton, Ohio. Coxe wrote several books, including ''The Young Lady's Companion'' and ''Claims of the Country on American Females''. Provided by Wikipedia
