State of Rhode-Island and Providence Plantations, ss. To the sheriff of the county of [blank] or to his deputy, greeting Whereas the General Assembly of the said state, at their session holden in February, A.D. 1782, made and passed an Act, granting and apportioning a tax of six thousand pounds ... and whereas there yet remains due from the town of [blank] ...
